Training Brief

Training Venue

As the company continues to grow and the number of new projects increases, BYD’s projects are steadily advancing. With the addition of these new initiatives, the company is increasingly relying on power control equipment such as variable frequency cabinets and inverters, leading to a growing demand for inverter commissioning tasks that become more complex by the day. In the course of daily operations, the quality inspection department has gradually revealed gaps in their in-depth understanding of inverter commissioning skills. As users now frequently request on-site assistance with debugging, the team’s technical support capabilities are facing an entirely new set of challenges.

Training Silhouette

In early September, after the quality inspection department flagged the issue to the company, the company immediately took it very seriously and swiftly initiated corresponding arrangements. The procurement department proactively coordinated with ABB’s inverter supplier, organizing for a specialized technical instructor to deliver an in-depth, industry-specific training session to frontline production teams in mid-September. This training focused on enhancing core skills in inverter commissioning, aiming to address existing technical gaps and strengthen the company’s overall quality assurance capabilities. The quality inspection department sent six key personnel to participate, while the technical and production departments each dispatched five and three employees, respectively, fostering a collaborative learning environment that spanned across multiple departments.

The training was systematically conducted using a "theory + hands-on practice" approach. The first half focused on foundational theories, including the basic principles of variable frequency drives, parameter-setting logic, and common fault diagnosis methods, providing participants with a solid knowledge base. In the second half, the session moved into the production workshop, where instructors demonstrated the commissioning process step by step in a real equipment setting. Key operational techniques and safety precautions were highlighted, and participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive detailed answers about practical issues encountered during previous commissioning activities. Throughout the training, the organization was meticulous, the content highly relevant, and participants actively engaged in interactive discussions, fostering an immersive learning environment. As a result of this intensive training, participants gained a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the structural features, commissioning standards, and risk management strategies associated with variable frequency drives, significantly enhancing both their professional expertise and practical skills.

Training Insights

  01 Quality Control Department

After the training, Sun, the supervisor from the Quality Control Department, shared his thoughts: "One never stops learning—no matter how old you are. Learning is a lifelong journey and also a fundamental requirement for performing your job effectively. I'm grateful to the company for providing a platform for growth and invaluable opportunities to learn."

  02 Engineering and Technology Department

Li, Manager of the Engineering and Technology Department, shared: "Only through continuous learning can we master more advanced skills. We will take this training as a starting point and stay firmly aligned with the company's pace of development."

  03 Production Department

Factory Production Manager Manager Zhang also remarked with emotion: "As frontline quality professionals, we must firmly embrace the lifelong learning mindset, proactively keep up with new technologies, processes, and standards, continuously enhance our overall competence and professional skills, and effectively fulfill our critical role in ensuring quality control."

Reflection and Improvement

As an electrical equipment manufacturer, Yu He Electrical recognizes clearly that while the instructor’s content is rich and comprehensive, it can only provide methodological guidance and key insights. Truly mastering debugging skills still requires continuous dedication to further study and the accumulation of hands-on experience. After all, technological advancement is endless, and the demands for product quality are constantly rising. Beyond inverters, we will also face innovations in an increasing number of cutting-edge components and sophisticated control systems. Only by maintaining a steadfast commitment to lifelong learning—integrating learning into our daily work and applying what we learn on the job—can we keep pace with the company’s rapid growth and stay ahead of evolving technological trends. Meanwhile, the company will continue to strengthen its focus on skill development, offering more opportunities for training and professional growth. We sincerely hope that every employee remains intellectually current and action-oriented, contributing their part to steadily elevate our product quality and drive the company toward even greater success.

The company’s specialized ABB inverter training event has successfully concluded. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for your companionship and valuable insights. Yu He Electrical—thank you for being with us!
